Edelman is seeking a collaborative teammate and Vice President to join our U.S. External Affairs team leading Edelman's owned publishing strategy, including newsletters, podcasts, video content, social strategy, and web content.

In the U.S., our External Affairs team serves as our first impression to the market - overseeing our relationships, narratives, and touchpoints with clients, prospects, partners, talent, and the media.

We serve both as an in-house strategy team - partnering with senior leaders across the firm to drive revenue growth and advance our competitive agenda - and as a world-class content engine. We need you to take that content engine to the next level by continuing to build out our editorial product suite.

We are looking for a teammate who is resilient, delivers high quality work, stays calm under pressure, keeps things fun, and learns every day. Ideally, you're a creative self-starter - someone who will bring dynamic, entrepreneurial problem-solving skills to work on a daily basis.

Experience in editorial product development is a must for this role.

Key Responsibilities:


    • In partnership with U.S. External Affairs leadership, own and develop a best-in-class editorial product strategy for capturing the attention of our primary stakeholder set: The CCO, CEO, CHRO, and CMO.

    • Work constantly to drive new content formats and apply creativity to telling Edelman's story with new faces, voices, and partnerships.

    • Lead the development of content and oversee junior staff across content execution on relevant mediums, including video, audio, newsletter, events, and web content.

    • Recast and refresh Edelman's existing properties, with an eye toward what earns authentic attention from the audiences we serve.

    • Focus intently on KPIs and audience growth, acting in service of expanding our footprint.

    • Work closely with new business colleagues to drive awareness and open doors to prospects and opportunities based on publishing activities.

    • Work in partnership with Edelman's client-facing Media Strategies team to drive thought leadership on owned content development; serve as a client-facing expert where appropriate.

    • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of your own skills .

Qualifications:


    • Demonstrated experience and expertise building content publishing strategies and developing editorial products, preferably at a media company or Fortune 500 brand

    • Deep understanding of how to scope and create an editorial product

    • Strong journalistic instincts, with a curious, "outside-in" perspective

    • Able to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

    • Detail-oriented; calm under pressure; strong executive presence

    • Strong work ethic, with a priority on professional achievement

    • "Driver" personality that thrives in entrepreneurial environment and can operate both independently and in close collaboration with a broader team

    • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years professional experience
