Promotions Manager, KJRH

Scripps is a seeking Promotions Manager for our NBC affiliate, KJRH in Tulsa, OK. The Promotions Manager works closely with the station leadership to develop strategic plans for on-air promotion based on research and / or direction from creative services.

WHAT YOU’LL DO


  • Manage daily promotional efforts and oversee writers/producers, coordinators and interns.

  • Coordinate all "outside media" efforts including radio, print and/or related support materials required by news, sales and other sources.

  • Develop strategic plans for on-air promotion based on research and / or direction from creative services.

  • Write, produce and edit promotional spots.

  • Create and review daily topical promotions and attend meetings as needed.

  • Review logs on a daily basis: fill as needed.

  • Work closely with designers in developing branding efforts related to brand look and feel.

  • Coordinate staff for promotion events in community.

  • Perform other duties as needed and as directed by management.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or other related field preferred or equivalent business experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible multimedia creative/management experience in the areas of promotion, production and/or creative services for medium to large market.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING


  • Possess a keen interest and understanding in the latest technology and social media applications as applicable to marketing.

  • Possess the ability to conceive, produce, implement and measure strategic marketing plan based on research.

  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for extended periods.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and ability to provide proof of insurability with company required insurance limits.
