Scripps is hiring an Associate Producer for The List in Phoenix, AZ. The Associate Producer will be responsible for gathering, writing and editing content for The List, a fast-paced, national, daily news-lifestyle pop culture show. Extensive knowledge of current trends in pop culture, lifestyle, consumer, travel, social media is preferred. The Associate Producer must have some understanding of production within an entertainment-news environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Pitch, develop, book, produce and write short form broadcast segments on a weekly basis.
Work with talent and photographer both in studio and in the field to produce content for The List.
Responsible for delivering quick-turn, high-priority segments on tight deadlines.
Copy edit scripts and work with production personnel to collaborate and refine the elements necessary to meet all quality standards and time requirements.
Works with post editors on final production.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Communications or equivalent experience.
2+ years of broadcast experience is preferred.

Writes clearly for television.
Ability to multi-task in dynamic, high pressure, deadline-driven, content-driven, and technology-intensive environment.
Self-driven and able to easily communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a team environment.
Must be a team player and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Must have solid social media experience and be well-connected.
