Part of an esteemed organization, the Orthopedic Nursing Coordinator will be based out of a 600+ bed hospital, working in their outpatient orthopedic ambulatory clinic. This state-of-the-art teaching hospital utilizes cutting-edge technology, advanced research, and evidence based practices to deliver exceptional patient care throughout the community. This large health system provides an array of services, offering hospitals throughout the Washington DC and Maryland region.
Based out of the Magnet designated hospital, the Orthopedic Institute specialties encompass their Foot & Ankle, Hand, Wrist & Elbow, Hip & Knee Replacement, Neck & Spine, Shoulder & Elbow, and Sports Medicine programs. The Orthopedic Nursing Coordinator will oversee a comprehensive ambulatory center where patients can receive comprehensive evaluations, x-rays, surgeries, physician therapy and more. The Nursing Coordinator holds administrative responsibilities in addition to assisting with direct patient care. Administrative responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operational work flow, scheduling, department staffing, staff evaluations, updating policy and procedures, ensuring state and federal regulatory compliance, coordinating quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, and monitoring the department budgets. The Nursing Coordinator will be a working manager, supporting the specialized podiatry orthopedic physicians.
The Nursing Coordinator will have previous leadership experience and a medical surgical or orthopedics clinical background. This individual will be a forward thinker, excited to grow with the rapidly expanding ambulatory center.
