Job Description:

Arhaus is a luxury furniture brand in need of an individual with a skillset to support the company’s continuing technology growth. This role is an integral part of the Software Development Team and will work alongside Software Developers and QA Analysts, as well as with Product Owners to build and maintain a variety of IT and eCommerce Software Applications. The Software Business Analyst serves as the primary conduit for gathering and distributing requirements from various business departments to the Software Development Team.


The ideal candidate for this role will have an analytical mindset, an ability to understand technical concepts and be able to explain those concepts to non-technical individuals. Additionally, an ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud-based web applications and technologies, prior work experience within an Agile Software Development Team, and will have some experience in the Retail/eCommerce space.


Daily duties for this role include gathering and documenting requirements for new or existing software, writing detailed technical requirements/specifications, writing documentation, and performing some User Acceptance Testing.


Business Analyst Responsibilities:



  • Gather and document critical information from meetings with various stakeholders.

  • Analyze requests/feedback from various departments to define and document business requirements

  • Translate requirements into individual, functional specifications for the software.

  • Effectively communicate plans to cross-functional team members and management, including both technical and non-technical individuals.

  • Work closely with internal clients, software, and management.

  • Perform user acceptance testing to ensure that technological solutions meet business needs and requirements.

  • Maintain priority of initiatives based on business needs and requirements.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Stakeholders, Product Owners, and End Users of the software.

Minimum Requirements:



  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in software business analysis, software quality assurance, or a related field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS/CIS, Computer Science, or related field. MBA preferred, especially within the fields of Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, or similar.

  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

  • An ability to make reasoned arguments, to influence stakeholders, and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.

  • Excellent documentation skills, including both technical/requirements, and end-user documentation.

  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

  • A track record of following through on commitments.

  • Prior experience working within an Agile Software Development Team, or training completed in the same.
