The shift for this position is Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Job Summary:

As a Production Test Technician you will be tasked with the manufacturing and testing of systems and components of Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS). FLIR is an industry leader in Unmanned Systems and produces its aircraft, hand controllers and associated software in-house. In this position you will be challenged to grow in you technical and organizational abilities while being in a surrounded by an enthusiastic hardworking team. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Assembly of prototypes and final products.

  • Inspection and verification of production prototypes.

  • Assemble mechanical parts and wire electronic components in accordance to manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions/process documents) into sub-units or complete units.

  • Soldering cable connectors and PCB components.

  • Assemble parts into sub-units or complete units, including sub-assembly, process assembly, inspection, modifications, upgrades and rework.

  • Maintain safe and efficient practices.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and performs work in accordance with quality and engineering standards.

  • Complete any other work-related tasks as directed by supervisor.

Job Qualifications:


  • Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.

  • Minimum 1-year experience assembling mechanical and electrical components preferred.

  • IPC Certification preferred.

  • Technical Training preferred.

  • Experience using hand and measurement tools.

  • Experience working with metals, plastics and composites.

  • Experience operating mills, lathes, grinders and cutting tools.

  • Basic ability to solder.

  • High school or GED required.

  • Able and willing to work Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
