This position can be performed remotely within the US.

Job Summary:

The Pricing Manager (individual contributor role) acts as the subject matter expert for the Government & Defense Business Unit and brings a corporate perspective to pricing decisions made within the business unit. This role will work across functions to lead development of successful price to win strategies for US and foreign government proposals in excess of $200M. The position works with technical teams and supply chain management to ensure cost proposals and technical proposals are aligned. This person will also lead consolidation and dissemination of competitive pricing data and provide business leaders with insightful pricing analytics and recommendations around standard and custom products. This role will report to the Finance Business Manager and will not have any direct reports.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Leads cost volume development for government proposals, coordinating inputs to drive optimal value and identifying potential risks and opportunities throughout the process


• Develops complex cost and pricing models to project financial impact of proposed technical solutions


• Directs documentation of build-ups/basis of estimate to ensure compliance with RFP requirements


• Leads post-award pricing and cost analysis for domestic and foreign government programs


• Works with product management to develop pricing strategies for standard products


• Provides analytical insights and recommendations to take advantage of opportunities and mitigate risk for standard products


• Creates and maintains win/loss and competitive data repository for the business unit


• Tracks the impact of pricing actions and assist with preparing quarterly updates for the executive team


• Ensures pricing policies and processes are adopted throughout the organization

Job Qualifications:

• Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.


• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Economics


• 7+ years of experience leading development of cost volumes for large, complex domestic and international bids


• Experience with Cost Strategy Development and Price-to-Win techniques


• Deep knowledge of various government contract types, including firm fixed price, cost-plus and ID/IQ


• Knowledge of Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR), ITAR, GSA pricing and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)


• Strong analytical skills with proven experience developing financial models in Excel


• Able to manage multiple priorities and work with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines


• Ability to communicate and influence across all organizational levels


• SAP experience highly preferred


• Able and willing to travel (post Covid) 10-15% domestically.
