Responsible for developing and implementing a strategic recruiting plan to increase the quantity and quality of the Rossin College graduate applicant pool, an emphasis will also be placed on attracting underrepresented minority students. The successful candidate will enhance the College's graduate communications plan delivered through customer management systems, web marketing and social media. The incumbent will develop and utilize appropriate metrics to gauge the effectiveness of specific strategies.

1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive recruiting plan for engineering graduate programs, with an emphasis on recruiting domestic students and those from underrepresented backgrounds
*Facilitate collaboration among University teams and Rossin College staff, faculty and students to enable increased graduate enrollments, to improve visibility among prospective graduate students domestically and internationally and to enhance digital content focused on graduate recruiting
*Partner with department personnel, Program Directors and faculty to develop and implement an appropriate recruiting strategy to promote Rossin College graduate programs, including in-person and online offerings
*Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to identify effective channels and methods of communicating with targeted audiences; create cohesive, effective messaging to promote graduate programs through a variety of print and digital channels
*Collaborate with the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity to develop a targeted approach to increasing enrollments of underrepresented minority students
*Engage graduate program alumni support for College recruitment efforts
*Maintain memberships and participation in appropriate professional societies (e.g. NAGAP, NPSMA, etc.)

2. Create and implement targeted recruitment strategies in order to increase graduate program enrollments
*Lead departmental personnel and faculty in developing a more comprehensive use of customer relationship management systems to manage a 'recruiting funnel' from initial contact throughout the entire Admissions process; utilize technology and associated tools (e.g. Enrollment Rx/Salesforce, Banner, CollegeNet) to develop a systematic, College-wide approach to graduate recruiting; respond as appropriate and track inquiries and prospective student activity
*Research and identify target prospective student pools in local, regional, national and international spaces
*Collect and disseminate data on program differentiators, faculty research areas and program curricula
*Manage the College's prospective student database
*Conduct outreach to undergraduate institutions to present to targeted student populations
*Serve as the point of contact for and manage Lehigh's participation in the ENGINE Consortium
*Organize, promote and facilitate webinars, open houses, information sessions and additional promotional events
*Represent the Rossin College and recruit students at off and on campus events such as Graduate and Career Fairs
*Assist faculty in the scheduling and promotion of their recruiting trips to other universities

3. Develop and utilize metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies
*Collaborate with department faculty and program directors to organize, enhance and track individual recruiting efforts and opportunities
*Utilize Google Analytics and/or other technologies to determine the most effective means to increase the quality and quantity of our applicants
*Continuously modify and enhance marketing and recruitment strategies based on metrics
*Maintain accurate data for informed decision-making, creating internal and external reports as needed
*Monitor recruitment funnel and application pool; identify trends and opportunities

Periods of high volume/workload to meet deadlines, during recruiting season, start of academic terms, generally during the fall

Evening or weekend hours to attend recruiting events

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's degree preferred

Three to five years related work experience

Experience in an educational setting is a plus

A general understanding of the requirements for STEM graduate study is a plus

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Solid writing ability and organizational skills

Solid analytical, decision making and problem solving skills

Solid computer skills with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
