Position Summary

The Education Data Analyst will be directly responsible for interpreting data gathered on (ISC) 2 Educational Programs. You will effectively use this data to influence curriculum development and enhancement efforts, improve learner experiences, address critical course errors, and report on key performance indicators and guide awareness initiatives.


  • Create and maintain accurate/relevant data driven dashboards and reports for key stakeholders.
  • Identify and present significant trends around educational offerings.
  • Use data from course and instructor evaluations to influence continuous improvement of the development and delivery of (ISC) 2 Educational Programs.
  • Oversee annual curriculum development market analysis, to include member surveys and focus groups, ensuring timely collection, interpretation and reporting on data which will be used to influence the annual curriculum plan.
  • Develop comprehensive assessments (discovery reports) for updates to certification curriculum, and course charters for new professional development offerings.
  • Ensure course descriptions are relevant to learner needs, accurate and up to date the website and LMS store.
  • Recommend and implement new data collection and analysis processes.

  • Liaise with Marketing and Communications Teams to provide learner insights which can be leveraged for marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Professional Studies in Data Analytics, or related field; Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using qualitative and quantitative research methodology and statistical analysis techniques for reporting data to influence business development and program quality
  • Expert knowledge of various Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, DOMO, programming/scripting languages (i.e., MSSQL) and statistical software (i.e., SPSS or R)
  • Advanced use of the Microsoft Office Suite required (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)
  • Proficient with managing large datasets, adept in writing comprehensive analytical and technical reports, and ability present complex concepts/information to a wide range of audiences
  • Knowledge of the learning industry preferred

Physical & Mental:
  • Up to 15% travel may be required
  • Work normal business hours and extended hours when necessary
  • Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods
  • Regular use of office equipment such as a computer/laptop and monitor computer screens
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components
