Provide administrative support to multiple underwriters, including maintaining underwriting files, developing broker relationships, and completing administrative tasks to expedite the underwriting process. Work with new and renewal business underwriters and comply with underwriting guidelines as well as company guidelines.
Responsibilities
Prepping quotes for new and renewal business
Setting up raters
Insurance binder processing
Invoicing
Policy issuance
Processing mid-term endorsement requests
Develop good rapport with broker partners
Fulfill brokers' requests for loss runs, copies of policies, copies of invoicing, etc.
Maintain underwriting files
Assist with account receivable issues
Assist with internal reporting requests
Qualifications
1-2 years of general office experience required. Insurance industry experience with specialized knowledge of Management Liability coverage a plus
High School Graduate or GED as minimum education requirements
Proven research and analytical skills to identify, gather and organize information to provide recommendations
Must be able to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced atmosphere
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and One Note)
Ability to learn new software applications
Strong Attention to detail
