If you are an Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you as a Manufacturing Engineer!  Based in our Brookfield, CT location, you will lead and support the Quality team in concepts of lean manufacturing and quality, with emphasis on manufacturing engineering. Provide daily support to manufacturing though process analysis, problem resolution and continuous process improvement, with leadership and direction for the QMS. AS A MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, YOU WILL: 


  • Manage multiple key projects while supporting the manufacturing floor
  • Lead and support work activities for the Inspection team to assure quality standards are met
  • Interface and coordinate all key and support projects proficiently with Design engineering, Marketing, Materials and Production Control, Purchasing, Accounting, Manufacturing and Vendors.
  • Support manufacturing and inspection on a daily basis in the areas of process analysis and improvement, problem identification and corrective action.
  • Perform process analysis and value analysis to determine opportunities for improvements.  Integrates M.E. initiatives with procurement
  • Determine cause of problems in manufacturing which impact quality, reliability and safety and initiate proper corrective actions

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor’s in science and engineering discipline or in pursuit of BSME, BSEE, or BSIE

  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, material specification and general industrial operations. 

  • Business minded engineer to provide continuous improvements to products and processes.

  • Understanding of manufacturing and quality concepts; i.e. Poka-yoke, Kanban, JIT, OTD, Productivity, and 8D.

  • Understand product project cost estimating, cost analysis, DFM/DFA - FMEA - SPC, bill of materials and routings.

  • Develop process and assembly/manufacturing instructions that will assure achieving product quality criteria and customer satisfaction.

  • At least 3 years professional, post college work experience
