JOB TITLE: Housekeeping Supervisor
DIVISION: Housekeeping
REPORTS TO: Executive Housekeeper
LOCATION: Lodging
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time/Year Round/Salary

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Along side the executive housekeeper helps to supervise the daily operations of the housekeeping staff while promoting a safe environment and quality service that ensures guest satisfaction and the protection of all assets with minimal expenses. This position maintains the maintenance and sanitation of guest rooms and public areas, helps to supervises laundry operations, recommends and implements procedural changes and monitors inventories and expenses.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Previous Management Experience welcomed but not needed
1+ years of experience in housekeeping field
Ability to Coach and lead a team in a positive manner
Ability to work in a team environment, side by side with staff
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to remain flexible with a schedule that workload dictates
Ability to prioritize workload appropriately
The ability to analyze report data, prepare reports, initiate correspondence and create schedules, mainly when executive housekeeper is off
Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise the housekeeping employees to attract, retain, and motivate them while providing a safe working environment
Help hire, train, coach and counsel staff
Supervise and inspect the daily cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back of house
Ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs and health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve high levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction
Inventory and maintain all housekeeping supplies at an appropriate level
Log and follow-up on maintenance issues
Conduct emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of resort's guests, staff, and company assets.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
Participate in resort committees and assignments
Assist executive housekeeper as needed.
