Responsibilities
Financial Results –
Assist team in meet or exceeding annual Northeast Region Financial Institutions GWP goal.
Assist team in meeting or exceeding annual new business Northeast Region Financial Institutions production goal.
Assist team in meeting or exceeding targeted retention levels for each line of business.
Work with manager to ensure limit deployment is appropriate (aggregation within industry sectors, within individual risks, and in response to claims results).
Operational Efficiency –
Assist team in passing Underwriting Audit, where applicable.
Service: meet or exceed higher standards for Policy Issuance (30 days), Registering/booking (48hrs), etc.
Ensure Tracker is updated and maintained with accurate data and in real time by team members.
Comply with corporate underwriting guidelines.
Leadership & Accountability –
Completely and thoroughly understand the strategies being implemented by the division
Execute on objectives for each region (Production, Product Focus, Product diversity, hit ratios, etc), and take personal accountability for your results.
Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, authority statements, divisional underwriting procedure documents, and legal and Chief Underwriting Officer mandates.
Sales & Marketing –
Actively cross-sell ancillary lines of business on existing relationships as evidenced by submission flow and quote and bind statistics.
Work effectively across Chubb USA by seeking out and engaging all levels of Regional Operations.
Foster relationships with assigned brokers. Complete 5 broker/agent visits each month.
Take ownership for new business Targets assigned to you. Have your assigned Targets uploaded in Tracker with information complete and accurate.
Underwriting Acumen
Consider clients risk profile when determining acceptability of risk and the corresponding contract language and suggest solutions that are mutually acceptable for both the client and Chubb.
Scrutinize the financial condition and operating results of clients and determine essential versus non-essential questions to make an underwriting decision.
Identify and use external factors that are not part of the submission to assist in underwriting and use to independently assess risks and make recommendations.
Stay informed relatives to relevant regulatory and industry develops and use information to develop relationships and build credibility with agents and clients

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
2-5 years underwriting experience
Bachelor’s degree
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of insurance industry
Knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
