Job Description:

Adams & Associates/New Hampshire Job Corps is looking for a committed year-round Facilities Maintenance Instructor to complement our qualified workforce of trade educators. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a class and make learning an easy and meaningful process. The goal is to help gain the students' interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience working in Facilities Maintenance preferred.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • One-year experience working with the youth.
  • Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-organizational skills.
  • Creative and energetic.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling, and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for preparing and implementing a teaching plan for the Facilities Maintenance trade according to the Center's requirements.
  • Develop relevant and coordinated curriculum objectives, outlines, and class by class assignments for the students.
  • Provide knowledge and instructions to students while also helping them develop their skills within the trade to prepare them for full-time positions.
  • Contribute in student case management.
  • Team with other Trade and Academic instructors to coordinate and cross articulate curriculum delivery
  • Ensure the classroom is well organized and conducive to student learning.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity guidelines to be compliant with the company policies and procedures.
  • Understand cultural and learning diversity and be willing to customize curriculum as needed to help students achieve their goals.
  • Responsible for creating projects for the students and ensuring the projects are completed timely.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Shifts Available: Monday-Friday 7:45am-4:45pm

Adams and Associates, Inc. is a 100% employee owned company subcontracted to run Job Corps Centers under the guidance of the DOL. New Hampshire Job Corps is a federally funded, residential vocational training facility. Our mission is to provide cost-free, career-based technical and academic training along with job placement assistance to low-income youths ages 16-24.
