What You’ll Contribute to OHM Advisors

The Construction Technician requires working with a multidisciplinary team of planners, engineers, and technicians.  This position involves day-to-day interfacing with contractors, project team members, our clients, and other technical experts and disciplines regarding project-related items. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of construction experience and be able to work as part of a team.  An opportunity exists for a variety of project experiences and potential for advancement.

Your Responsibilities


  • Perform daily field inspections of construction work and prepare daily work reports.

  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications on construction projects.

  • Determine if unforeseen project field conditions require a change to the construction contract.

  • Track and record as-built information for incorporation into project record drawings.

  • Communicate with contractors and project team throughout the life of the project.

  • Demonstrate strong project organization skills.

What You’ll Need to Succeed


  • High-school diploma or equivalent required with an Associate’s degree or completion of a technical trade school in drafting, construction lab, engineering technology, surveying, or drafting preferred.

  • Applicants must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and a background check.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.

  • Computer literacy – Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

  • Capable of working as a team member with other disciplines.

  • Construction field certifications including EPSC training is a plus.

  • Previous underground infrastructure inspection experience is a plus. 

  • Employment requires the applicant to have a current Valid Driver’s license.
