What you'll do:
Our Industry Leaders are responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining the Industry G2M multi-year strategy, with a focus on prioritizing and supporting MPs hiring by geography/domain (channel coverage). As an Industry Lead, you will help to enable change and be responsible for shaping the industry strategy.
Our HTTP team faces vendors of technology - high tech and telecom providers, with emphasis on their strategic initiatives, technology roadmaps, go-to-market, competitive/ partner dynamics, and product planning. Associates aligned to this industry team are experienced in the high-tech sphere, fluent in the cutting edge technologies that matter to our clients, and have a passion for all things high-tech.
Prioritizes and executes on value creation activities, with the appropriate level of activities to continuously generate demand and large deals leading by example on demand generation, retention and repeat business and building effective teams
Designs MPs account portfolios to guarantee and continuously improve sales productivity large client penetration and monthly sales contribution and predictability
Collects and communicates industry demand requirements to practices, drive industry specific IP in collaboration with practice teams
Increases awareness at the wider industry ecosystem level generating clients' intelligence to inform account teams
Align GC Solution Portfolio to the Vertical and "tailor" solutions to vertical needs
Manage Account Portfolio for the Practice - participate in key account decisions, quota pullback, portfolio management and account assignment
Define integrated solutions to a set of high priority market issues
Collaborate with IAS Research analysts to ensure alignment on best thinking, industry business and technology issues and trends, and surveys / tools
Develop vertical marketing collateral according to requirements and formats defined by GC Global Sales
Develop the Sales and Marketing Strategy for Gartner Consulting and improve the overall sales effectiveness and sales capabilities for the organization
Drive development of external and internal marketing collateral, Define types, format and requirements
Strengthen internal sales processes through Value assurance processes and programs & Drive Account Planning process % Pipeline Management
Develop Consulting's sales capabilities Develop and deliver appropriate Sales Training Programs
Drive communication of Consulting offering portfolio within Gartner.
What you'll need:
15+ years of experience in Consulting (ideally some with a Tier 1 Consultancy)
10+ years in HTTP leadership role (High-tech, Telco, Media and Invest)
Who you are:
Recognized industry leader internally across Gartner (Sales, Research, EXP) and in the external market
Ability to gain and sustain executive relationships as a trusted business advisor
Ability to drive an acceptable engagement gross margin at or above Gartner Consulting standards
Understanding of the client's business and industry
Demonstrated ability to sell and lead delivery of complex engagements
Highly experienced at leading engagement teams, including coaching
Understands the business and economics of consulting
Can drive Gartner Consulting value proposition
Has presentation/written communications skills at an executive level
Experience operating in a matrixed organization especially when it comes to decision-making and resource management
Fluency in technology-related topics, but deep IT expertise is not required
Reputation for building world-class teams, attracting and developing highly successful and motivated leaders in prior leadership roles
A powerful intellect and independent, but highly collaborative, nature to fit into the culture of Gartner's high-performance culture
A natural interest in information services and technology
Has analytical skills to secure and compare information from multiple sources to identify business issues; the ability to make sense of complex issues and ambiguous situations
