The Senior Program Manager Health PMO is responsible for the management and leadership of transformational programs and projects that vary in size from large to small. (Project/Program size depends on factors such as estimated duration, resource requirements, budget, complexity, risk, visibility and related matters). This role will coach/mentor and provide indirect leadership for less experienced project managers within the organization. Ownership of end-to-end management of multiple smaller projects within a dedicated business unit that roll-up into a program.

What will you do?

Project / Program Management


  • Manage, facilitate and execute all program needs within required business verticals and cross-functional partners, determines project approach. Ties multiple, complex initiatives into a unified program approach

  • Able to recognize unidentified gaps and proactively manage potential partner gaps

  • Able to identify key dependencies across programs

  • Able to effectively escalate and mitigate risks, conflicts, issues and key decisions

  • Schedules, maintains and facilitates team rhythms, notes, collaboration tools such as Teams, SP, etc

  • High visibility/impact across the organization; large risk if the collective program/project work is not successful

  • Complexity varies from med to high; each program may have its own impact to the business and require a unique set of cross-functional partners. (i.e. project A - marketing, operations, caring center operations, HR and project B - marketing, D&T, operations, logistics, supply chain)

Manage cross-functional partnerships

  • Ability to manage multiple workstream leaders and program managers in all programs

  • Provides input and guidance to cross-functional partners - determines program needs, milestones and meeting rhythms

  • Provides input and recommends the approach on how the overall program should be managed

  • Works with multiple departments, business sponsors, key stakeholders and cross-functional teams comprised of members up to BBY Health Senior Leadership

Communications

  • Communicates the status of each project within the program, provides actionable updates, risks, and mitigation plans for each project and assist with updates up to exec leadership level

  • Provide recommendations and solutions when working with Program Leads or cross-functional partners to address risks, issues, decisions

  • Works with programs cross-functional partners to proactively address conflict. Proactive conflict resolution is expected

Leadership

  • Provides guidance to other Project Managers and partners when conflicts arise, assists Project Managers on projects that roll up to programs

  • Provides indirect leadership to key partners; gives constructive feedback; demonstrates the ability to influence without authority and change the direction of a program or project when necessary

  • May have direct reports


Basic Requirements:

  • 8 years of project/program management

  • 8 years of general business experience

  • 1 year managing people directly through a matrixed environment

  • 2 years' experience at a manager level in a large global consumer-oriented business in the industry and/or a multi-channel/multi-brand business

  • 2 years of post-mergers & acquisitions business integration experience

  • Proficient facilitation and technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare experience

  • Prior experience in wireless industry preferred PMP or similar certifications

  • 5+ years’ experience working with Senior Leaders

  • 5+ Years’ experience managing large functional initiatives

  • Intermediate experience with change management methodology using impact, stakeholder analysis as well as communication plan development and execution

  • Familiarity of different RASCI and decision-making models with teams

  • Communication Plan development and execution

  • Familiarity of different operating models
