Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
The Lab Associate is part of the operational team within the sample preparation laboratory. The Lab Associate ensures the appropriate collection, processing, storage and shipment of samples. Daily tasks may involve maintenance of equipment, processing and shipment of samples. The Lab Associate is part of the study team that is responsible for the execution of the study
Assists in the study set up for the Sample collection, storage, and processing
Preparation of Shipment, Receipt/Shipment of Biological samples from the clinic
Processing of Biological samples from or in the clinic
Prepares the documentation for the sample storage
Storage of the biological samples
Document all the above in the eCRF or on source
Adequately solves and reports errors
May be required to enter the required request information in the LIMS system of the Clinical Chemistry laboratory (Clinical Chemistry only) and or any other Lab LIMS if needed.
Stock keeping of materials and reagent for the Clinical Chemistry laboratory (Clinical chemistry only) or any laboratory operations in clinic if needed.
Ordering of materials and if needed reagent for the Clinical Chemistry laboratory (Clinical chemistry only) or any other Laboratory needs.
Administrative tasks for the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory or any other laboratory outsourcing needs.
Qualifications
What do you need to have?
Medical, Laboratory or Life Science education
Awareness of IATA regulations
Read, write and speak fluent English; fluent in host country language.
Technical certificate preferred plus 1- 2 years prior experience in a regulated laboratory
Shift: Monday - Friday 3:30 p.m. - Midnight, with the availability to work one weekend a month.
