Leads a team of Data engineers and developers to develop data strategies across business units. Responsible for the requirements, development, testing, and implementation of data engineering solutions. Demonstrate experience in multiple data engineering platforms and work cross-functionally to maximize best practices and reuse. Exhibit strong knowledge of business processes and integrate domain data knowledge into development of data requirements. Ability to learn new technologies and take on hands-on development work based on business priorities. Maintains data architectural artifacts and ensures that all measures for data quality, data profiling, data governance, ITIL, security and compliance of data are adhered to. Open to providing operational support for the data warehousing applications, including quarantine maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring and resolving bugs and production issues in a timely manner. Proficient in SQL and ETL processes, ETL and DB performance tuning, table partitioning, Python and shell scripting. Works with Application Owners, and Business SME to identify requirements and drive standards consistent with business processes. Exhibit strong knowledge of business processes and integrate domain data knowledge into development of data requirements. Ability to learn new technologies and take on hands-on development work based on business priorities.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

1.Responsible for design and development of complex data engineering solutions with extensive experience in multiple data engineering concepts and tools.
2.Knowledge of data warehousing principles and processes including data physical database design, transformation and loading.
3.Able to designs, profiles and tests data engineering solutions using multiple tools that move data from disparate source/target systems and the enterprise information repositories.
4.Demonstrate understanding with data modeling concepts and tools to implement data access layers for reporting, data discovery, metadata management, and data services
5.Ability to learn new technologies and take on hands-on development work based on business priorities.
6.Proficient in SQL and shell scripting.
7.Works with Application Owners, and Business SME to identify Data requirements and drive standards consistent with business processes.
8. Exhibit strong knowledge of business processes and integrate domain data knowledge into development of data requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
•15+ years of Database experience
