Government Affairs Specialist at American College of Radiology in Washington, Washington DC

Job Description:

The American College of Radiology (ACR) seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Government Affairs Specialist to join the Government Relations department. Reporting to the Senior Director of Political Affair, the Government Affairs Specialist will handle day to day management of the Political Actions Committee (PAC) reporting as well as take the lead on member solicitations and developing a RADPAC Champions Program. This position will work directly on devising a strategy to streamline the PAC’s communications process as well as increase the PAC’s visibility on social media platforms. Additionally, this position will also be involved in planning the RADPAC Board Retreat, the RADPAC Gala and other social events.


Responsibilities include:



  • Manage all incoming and outgoing contributions for RADPAC as well as file FEC monthly reports

  • Take lead role in planning the annual RADPAC Gala and coordinating activities at the RADPAC Booth during the Annual Meeting

  • Create a nationwide RADPAC Champions Program

  • Provide resources and reports to state chapters for upcoming chapter meetings

  • Manage all content and design for RADPAC’s website and other communications

  • Design and direct solicitation campaigns

  • Manage RADPAC’s operating budget

 


Qualified candidates must have:



  • 3-5 years in government relations, public relations or closely related field

  • Bachelor degree

  • Experience in political affairs environment

  • Experience in fundraising, preferably political fundraising

  • Thorough understanding of the legislative process

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
