KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Summary – (Role Summary)
The Principal Data Architect is a senior member of the Architecture & Innovation team responsible for developing pace setting, best practice new technology capabilities to the Company’s owners, customers, and partners. The Principal Data Architect works with senior leaders to set the vision and parameters that product delivery teams operate within. In addition, the Principal Data Architect helps to develop and support governance processes that ensure that team deliverables meet the Company’s standards for performance, availability, quality, security, and maintainability.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education –Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
Experience – Typically a minimum of 10-15+ years of progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines, technologies, or processes related to the position. Experience working across multiple cultures and geographies.
Technical skills and Knowledge –
Technical mastery and competency in all architecture, with strong knowledge of technology constraints (e.g., born from acquisition) and innovative design mindset to provide a broader solution.
Demonstrated technical experience in supporting corporate strategies through the development of cross-functional solutions from a technical and financial viewpoint.
Demonstrated experience with large scale, global systems and their supporting architecture.
Knowledge of and application of financial modeling for IT investments.
Demonstrated skills in advanced diagnostics and problem solving methodologies.
Broad knowledge of Company policies, products, markets, processes, technical platforms and major applications as well as an understanding of business principles and practices.
Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering (e.g. cloud (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), network, compute & storage, software integration, custom software development, etc.)
Excellent oral, written, presentation and facilitation skills, with extensive experience working with senior business and technical leaders, up to and including C-Suite executives; and strong interpersonal skills are required.
Champion engineering process disciplines (e.g., Scrum, Agile, Kanban, ITIL).
Champion industry process improvement programs (e.g., CMMI, IOS‐9000, FDA, Six Sigma).
