JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

The Technical Service and Applications Lead - Salt will lead, coach and develop a team to execute the business plan to meet our growth goals within the Salt business. We seek an experienced professional who will identify and execute new business development projects and lead, prioritize and report on the portfolio of new business development projects. In this role, you will drive engagement with our customers, create process improvements and deliver results.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Lead the technical service team


• Work closely with sales and marketing leaders on customer segmentation and satisfaction, account planning, and the use of sales technology.


• Develop strong customer relationships at key accounts.


• Handle technical budget and metrics and report to stakeholders monthly.


• Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field 


• Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationships and trust through technical knowledge and expertise


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills


• Minimum of six years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience


• Experience leading a technical team with staff from multiple locations and disciplines


• Ten or more years in food ingredient technical services, applications or a similar discipline


• Salt industry experience
