Overview:



The Instructional Developer III is responsible for the leading the development of course materials, interactive media and technology tools during course development.This includes the consideration of production schedules, and workflow to ensure timely and quality delivery of courses. This position works cross functionally with Instructional technology, Instructional Design and the curriculum teams to deliver the best educational experience for our students.The Instructional Developer will operate with the highest levels of ethics, integrity, and enthusiasm with both internal and external stakeholders.




Responsibilities:




  • Responsible for leading course developments by improving the course experience through use of technology, enhanced content and media.


  • Leading the instructional development and design of existing courses to ensure quality and innovation are built into development efforts


  • Collaborates with academic partners, other leadership and functional areas to develop best in class courses


  • Recommends changes to course development processes, policies, and metrics to facilitate the improvement of services and performance.


  • Stays current with industry trends and apply new methodologies to course development practices.


  • Adhere to accessibility standards in the course development process and the tools leveraged to validate accessibility standardbreds


  • Course development project management


  • Participation in conferences and seminars to further DeVry’s knowledge in specific disciplines


  • Completes other projects and duties as assigned.


Qualifications:




  • Bachelors’ degree in instructional design, instructional technology or related field


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of instructional development experience


  • Strong critical thinking, organizational and interpersonal communication skills


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many competing initiatives


  • Knowledge of adult learning concepts and the activities involved with design, preparation, delivery, evaluation and need assessments of educational and training programs


  • Ability to advance projects while managing multiple initiatives


  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
