Job Description:

Cognizant is looking for Azure System Admin candidates for our health care project.

Azure System Admin -  would assist with the management, support, and oversight of the virtual server environments and business continuity processes. This resources would assist with managing, maintaining, monitoring and securing (including data security) of all servers including installations, upgrades, patches and documentation. The Azure Cloud Engineer will work across the enterprise to coordinate with the various stakeholders. This is an experienced individual contributor position that will work with cross-functional team members for day-to-day activities.

• Assist in configuring, implementing, delivering, and managing Cloud solutions/environments • General knowledge of virtualization, cloud computing.

• Experience administering/supporting Windows and Linux systems running in Azure.

• Experience with Azure NSG.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure virtual network appliances.

• Experience with PowerShell.

• Experience with Active Directory including managing/maintaining several domains

• Knowledge of Windows operating systems.

• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.

• Takes responsibility for delivering superior value and client service.

• Identify, analyze and resolve cloud-based issues

• Install, configure, automate and monitor various cloud services

• Analyze existing systems, processes and architectures to make recommendations for improvement

• Review metrics and make capacity recommendations

• Perform operational engineering for activities which include platform upgrades, server patching, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• Provide periodic off-hours on-call support for production

• Ability to develop, document and maintain operational practices, processes and runbooks/playbooks.

• Ability to provide comprehensive failure/impact analysis related to incidents and provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA

• Ability to provide regular identification of monitoring gaps, resource utilization, warning thresholds as it relates to operational excellence.
