Job Summary

The Developer III will be primarily responsible for providing application and maintenance, patching, CMDB Maintenance and learning the 150+ apps that are part of the GenApps Suite. They will also be responsible for helping to document and improve processes, perform support activities for Technology Services, and engage technology and business users for ideas to improve the user experience. Daily activities will require phone and email communication with business customers and other Technologists.

Key Accountabilities

•Provide first level support to issues raised by business customers and communicate via phone and email.Develop and implement enhancements and provide ongoing support for applications to provide more useful features for the system’s users. •Evaluate opportunities for automation and continuous improvement of ITIL-aligned processes. •Create and support data policies, standards, guidelines and procedures in order to ensure data is available, responsive, and achieving business outcomes and objectives.•Demonstrate ability to comprehend functions and capabilities of complex environments. •Develop positive working relationships with technology teams, business teams, and vendors in order to promote alignment between functions.•Drive the creation of metrics and documentation to demonstrate the team’s performance related to the team's defect backlog, sprint velocity, batch time, system health, etc.•Work closely with business users, process owners, architecture, and application teams to learn how to effectively program following Vistra standards. •Perform daily operational activities and help measure process quality and compliance •Demonstrate understanding of the analytics platforms to help deliver functional support and data needs.•Understand the value drivers for Vistra to deliver innovative value creation ideas. •Support and help train the TS and end user community to assist with the adoption and communication of TS processes. •Understand and participate in agile ceremonies.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

•1-3 years professional experience in a technology or business field•Professional certifications a plus (e.g., ITIL, CSM, AWS)•Proven ability to evaluate opportunities for automation and continuous improvement of ITIL-aligned processes. •Demonstrates ability to learn new coding languages relative to the platforms supported by the team. •Demonstrated ability to be trustworthy and dependable •Ability to learn quickly, be self motivated to improve knowledge and tackle new challenges •Proficient organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail required•Must be comfortable creating team communications and interacting with managers•Must demonstrate an energetic, hands-on, enthusiastic, results-oriented approach as a team player, capable of adding significant value to the existing team.
