At Maverik, we call the In-Store Loss Prevention Specialist an Adventure Ranger. You are there to maintain a safe and secure environment for our customers and our employees through service-oriented interactions. With a watchful eye and protective instinct, you will help keep our customers safe on their adventures and prevent the loss of inventory through a visible presence throughout the store. What You’ll do as a In Store Loss Prevention Specialist:
Ensure customer and employee care/safety are #1 priority
Maintain a safe and customer friendly environment by maintaining a visible presence
Smile and greet all customers and provides support to employees from a customer service and Company brand perspective
Work with store management to address any safety concerns; formulating and implementing effective action plans as appropriate
Use security systems equipment to monitor activities inside and outside the store
Ensure compliance of and follows all Company security, safety and emergency practices
Respond to all alarms and emergencies
Intervene as appropriate during incidents, interact with local law enforcement as necessary and complete all applicable incident reports
Prevent theft, vandalism, fire and other incidents by monitoring activities inside and around the store perimeter
Meet the physical demands of walking and standing for up to 8 hours
Additional responsibilities as assigned
You’ll be a great fit if you Have:
A High School Diploma/GED required; some college level coursework is a plus
1-3 years’ experience with a loss prevention or asset protection environment focused on deterring issues via world class customer service
Open availability with the ability to work varying shifts throughout the work week
The ability to anticipate and prevent incidents from occurring
Experience understanding, applying, and following structured security rules
