Job Responsibilities Additive Manufacruting Engineer will own technical and professional support to projects emphasizing new and unreleased products. They will also manage and carry out projects for product development/improvement, product quality, and customer support.
Be familiar with failure analysis, process development, application flows, particle contamination, material issues, system interconnects, software and controls, and customer points-of-view
Coordinate with other groups and organizations for design, process, test, reliability and manufacturing to solve product issues and production problems
Ensure suppliers' quality performance for consistent and reliable products
Conduct design reviews with cross-functional teams (CFT) and stake holders to coordinate development and qualification activities
Be a lead advocate for your product across company organizations
Additive Manufacturing (AM) Specific Responsibilities
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and perform R&D on materials and process development for metal, Polymer, or Ceramic AM technologies, industry best practices, and best process solutions
Develop and Optimize the entire suite of AM processes including L-PBF, DED, BJ, FDM, SLA, etc.
Act as SME on electrochemical and corrosion analysis of Materials.
Develop and Optimize post-process heat treatments and surface finishing.
Work with design engineers to develop recipes in bringing parts from design to production.
Provide feedback to design engineers and suppliers to continuously improve the AM part production process.
Perform analysis (including 3D Analysis), characterization, simulation, test, and verification of AM hardware as well as AM materials properties and analyze results.
Generate and release additive process specifications to control product quality and establish build qualification and product acceptance criteria.
Work closely with quality engineers in achieving and maintaining AM process and Product qualification.
Advise and lead on materials, machines, and process parameters to build parts that meet the Semiconductor requirements.
Actively and closely work with multidisciplinary engineers to identify and qualify vendors and suppliers for materials and post-process services.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of Statistics Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause-Corrective Action (RCCA), 8D & 5-Whys Problem solving
Prior experience with MS office tools (ppt, excel, project), statistical tools (JMP, Minitab etc.)
Previous experience in cross-functional project management
Previous experience leading technical projects
Strong project management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skill
Served +2 years in an AM, specializing in 3D printing operation, especially L-PBF for semiconductor Industry
Ability to perform in a cross-functional team
Knowledge of AM surface engineering
Familiar with statistical methods and application of machine learning in material science
