Position Mission:

Seeking an experienced Director of Asset Strategy and Activation to authentically connect the NAPA AUTO PARTS brand with the preferred segmentation of consumers/customers via the most strategic partners, for the right investment, through world-class activation strategies and tactics. This individual will work collaboratively with our research leads to develop our five-year asset roadmap for growth and success. An expertise in building multiple value-based relationships with our partners while extracting and creating mutual value and drive a measurable ROI. Looking for an optimistic and self-motivated individual that ask why vs. why not and finds the opportunity and understands the business need for a collaborative and can-do attitude.

  • Benchmark measurement and Investment analysis

  • Brand Awareness Measurement
  • Brand Sentiment Measurement

Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with research team to identify insights to develop 5 year asset strategy connected to macro trends, consumer/customer segmentation, growth segmentation and passion overlays.
  • Work in partnership with cross-functional team to identify the role of assets in NAPAs marketing mix.
  • Create process and measurement tools, built on segmentation strategy, to evaluate and drive incremental value for and from our partners.
  • Oversee all asset contracts from complex negotiations to day-to-day management and execution of our mutual rights.
  • Build value-based relationships across our internal and external stakeholders to create and deliver incremental value outside of our contractual commitments.
  • Ownership of the ROI model with channel benchmarks and impact to the business.

Experience, Education, and Abilities:

  • 7+ years of brand management expertise
  • 2+ Years brand leadership/supervisory experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or related field; MBA preferred
  • Experience managing cross-functional partners inclusive of creative agencies, sponsorship partners, research vendors, digital partners, etc.
  • Ability to create a strategic vision and motivate multiple teams, agencies and individuals to exceed expectations.
  • An innate sense of curiosity to not only see what is around the corner, but to be able to also influence and activate a belief in the idea and create the roadmap to get it done.
  • A sense of grit and determination to achieve and drive results while also leading with an empathy that empowers others to grasp, accept, and join the journey.
  • An expert attention to detail for logistics, but a creative can-do attitude to create the confetti and magic for memorable experiences.
  • A comfortable mix of innovative, white space thinking with structured and methodical segmentation, analytical and strategic approach.
  • Leading with a transparent, clear and collaborative approach/dialogue to articulate the context behind the why and be able to effectively influence peers and the system.
  • Most time will be spent on the computer/phone and office collaborating with multiple teams.
  • May have travel up to 40% - will be dependent upon asset strategy and activation plans.
  • Other duties as assigned
