JOB SUMMARY Perform a variety of electro-mechanical and control activities in support of injection molding equipment and downstream automated manufacturing equipment. These duries include but are not limited to set-up, build and repair.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Troubleshoot, repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and process issues on various complex manufacturing cells.
Able to connect to PLC’s to utilize in troubleshooting automated equipment failures
Maintains electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic control systems for automation cells
Interpret written specifications, schematic drawings, parts lists, prints and sketches, to installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
Effectively communicate technical problems with management and other groups.
Fabricate specialized tooling utilizing various machine shop functions.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Inspect, repair, and maintain plant equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Document completion of preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with Standard Operating procedures.
Supports development of preventive maintenance procedures, for site manufacturing equipment.
Maintain documentation according to internal and external regulations.
Periodic review and updates for Preventative Maintenance procedures and work instructions
Complies with and maintains training of related Standard Operator Procedures.
Documents activities for all equipment interactions, Preventive Maintenance, breakdowns, other.
Provide updates for electrical and mechanical drawings as needed to sustain accurate prints.
Provide next level support within the Scottsville manufacturing site:
Provide coaching and training for Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic’s.
Provides coaching to operators on automation process function and associated best practices
As business needs dictate, works extended hours, to meet daily department goals or tasks.
Support Engineering on improvements and initiatives facilitating the achievement of site goals.
Perform other duties as directed by department manager
As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime
Exhibits good communication skills – verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language.
Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and Regulatory requirements.
MS Office experience preferred.

EDUCATION
Associate degree or equivalent two year technical school preferred; or three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Completion of an apprenticeship program, military program or trade school with 3 years of experience.
EXPERIENCE
3 - 7 years maintenance experience in controls and/or electro-mechanical fields.
