Job Description:

The Manager, Technology Accounting maintains significant collaboration with the Technology Finance team to aide in the analysis and approval of Corporate Technology expenses and project costs.  In addition, this individual is responsible for leading an accounting team through the month-end close processes, account reconciliations and other ad-hoc reporting requests.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure that the general ledger accurately reflects monthly transactions in accordance with accounting principles and corporate policies.  This includes the review and approval of corporate technology, US project, and US capital expenditure journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.


• Manage a team of technology accountants by providing oversight and assistance to all key aspects of the monthly close process.


• Collaboration with the finance organization to assist in analysis for both forecasting and month-end analysis.


• Coordinates and oversees the Sarbanes Oxley activities relative to internal controls documentation and testing


• Review and analyze monthly processes across the technology finance/accounting organization to ensure that the most advantageous functions and flow are in place to accurately record monthly transactions.


• Primary contact for internal and external auditors in regards to all aspects of Technology accounting.


• Review business cases and third party agreements in conjunction with monthly procedures to ensure proper accounting treatment. 


• Provide support on various projects and systems, including the development and implementation of Oracle projects as a sub ledger.

Qualifications

• 7  years of combined public Accounting and Private Industry accounting experience, related general ledger accounting experience including monthly close, journal entry review/approval, reconciliations, reports, accruals.


• Experience must include managing a team of accountants/direct reports.


• Bachelors or Masters in Accountancy required.  Certified Public Accountant required.


• Proficient in Excel.  Oracle and/or Hyperion product experience a plus (HFM, Essbase, ARM).

Extra Points for any of the Following

• 2+ years in public accounting preferred.
