POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

 

The Associate Microbiologist is responsible for performing microbiological analysis of raw materials, utilities & environment (water, compressed air etc) and finished products, related documentation and activities according SOPs/methods and GMP regulations.

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

 

·         Test raw materials, finished products, utilities and environment for microbial contamination and complete related documentation in time.

 

·         Provide assistance in training personnel.

 

·         Prepare and standardize all reagents, culture media, solutions and microbial culture as required

 

·         Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.

 

·         Validate procedures used in the micro lab.

 

·         Cleaning of lab glassware, arranging media and other lab items

 

·         Complete all necessary documentation in microbiology lab to ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance.

 

·         Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  


  • One to three years of laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical or related industry

Education:

  


  • Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 


  • One year of Quality Control back ground
