Job Overview


As the VP of People & Culture, you will provide strategic leadership for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives, aligned with the overall business strategy, to achieve key business objectives and manage all HR services, policies and programs. This position will shape the culture, create policies and best in class practices for all employee related matters. You will be the employee advocate at Clubessential Holdings for all company entities that align with the holding company’s long-term vision. This position leads a team that is accountable and responsible for recruiting, attracting, developing and retaining key talent that enables our future growth and success.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:



  • Lead HR Team supporting business units

    • Cultivates, maintains, and enhances effective relationships within the team to understand current and future business needs and drive initiatives that support and enhance the desired culture

    • Support HR Generalist positions in their initiatives around recruiting, employee relations and onboarding/exiting our talent


  • Create and empower a diverse culture, one that is inclusive and grants each employee the opportunity to learn, grow and contribute to the company.

    • Support and mentor each business unit’s diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives

    • Provide focus on building a diverse workforce by widening our talent pool through recruitment and development


  • Lead the Compensation and Benefits strategy

    • Manage Vendor and Broker relationships

    • Develop and implement comprehensive total rewards strategy; compensation and benefits plan that are competitive and cost-effective, across the entire business

    • Responsible for payroll and benefits implementation and operational management


  • Organization and Performance Improvement

    • Oversee and manage a performance management system that drives and recognizes and rewards high performance

    • Leverage eNPSinitiative to develop strategies and programs that improve employee engagement, morale and loyalty

    • Coach/counsel the leadership teamto help them create and promote employee engagement within the organization.

    • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital across highly decentralized office and remote work locations

    • Develop effective strategies, training and tools for managing, developing and retaining a flexible work culture with 400+ employees distributed across the country; develop and monitor corresponding budgets for these initiatives


  • Training and Talent Development

    • Coordination of company-wide succession planning for key leadership roles, reviewed with the executive management team annually.


  • Policy Development and Documentation

    • Research, review, develop, update and maintain all HR related policies, procedures, methods and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization initiatives

    • Audit and implement actions that validate compliance with federal, state, local laws for all employment matters, including FLSA, benefit programs, hiring, promotion and development programs


  • Leadership Consulting on HR Issues

    • Advise CEO and Senior leadership on all people & culture related opportunities and challenges to help build and sustain high performance and engaging cultures in each business unit

    • Consult with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters

    • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization


  • Manage Talent/HR Due Diligence for M&A work

    • Participate in M&A related activities to assist in positive employee on-boarding transitions post acquisitions

    • Consult with corporate senior leaders and other division senior leaders to provide HR guidance in various areas including the company’s growth and acquisitions strategies


  • HR Analytics

    • Develop Key Performance Indicators for the HR function and track and benchmark across companies and industries

    • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR function to develop solutions, programs, and policies


  • Primary Objective Include:

    • Development and retention of a superior, engaged, high performance workforce

    • Development of an employee-oriented company that emphasizes quality, engagement, continuous improvement and high performance

 


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • BS/MS degree in Human Resources or BS degree in related field with relevant experience

  • SHRM or equivalent HR Professional certification desired

  • Proven work experience as HR VP or Director in challenging business environment

  • A positive, optimistic, action and people oriented individual with a ‘can do’ mentality

  • An ability to manage numerous diverse projects and multi-task with ease

  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases (UKG experience a plus)

  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company and external partners

  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, communication and presentation skills

  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices

  • 15+ years HR generalist experience with experience leading an HR function. Technology and/or software company experience is a plus
