This position will be primarily responsible for all aspects of MSR forecasting and budgeting beginning with working with business colleagues to organize all forecast inputs, obtain and validate model results for incorporation into the forecasting tools, review of model results with manager and colleagues, compilation and explanation of results, and building reports for management team. Forecasting includes routine forecasts, budget updates, CCAR, ICAAP and other risk appetite reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Close working relationship with Finance and P&A groups for accurate, cohesive, and timely reporting of forecast updates
Preparation and review of 10Q/10K reporting submissions; Assist in competitor analysis through 10Q/10K review as well as earnings presentations
Substantiation of MSR inputs, model changes, and results for analysis, risk management, and external reporting
Backup role processing of daily and month-end P&L reporting
Backup role for daily P&L substantiation and attribution of revenue drivers
Enhance existing control framework, including reconciliation points and source data
Some interaction with MB Treasury for balance sheet forecasting and capital inputs
Creation and maintenance of procedural documentation for all duties
Qualifications
Relevant product and/or control experience, with specific knowledge of mortgage-related products, bond math and working knowledge of the capital markets preferred
Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles preferred
Experience in banks, financial institutions or large service providers to banks/FIs is preferred
Solid qualitative and quantitative skills necessary
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline
MS Office suite, Essbase, and data handling proficiency preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication are must, as this position routinely interacts with employees at various levels
Highly disciplined individual, self-motivated, high-quality result focused under tight deadlines with the ability to work independently as well as in a cross functional team environment
Ability to identify issues, seek solutions and gain consensus regarding outcome Ability to build relationships with a diverse group of both technical and non-technical resources
