Elekta’s growing software development engineering team has opportunities in development and testing of new and existing products. Our product teams thrive in a scaled, agile environment.  Architects, product owners, designers and developers collaborate closely to rethink and reimagine. We need your expertise to create software that is simple, elegant and easy to use. We want to make sure that physicians spend their time fighting cancer, not software.
 

Responsibilities:


  • Utilize development frameworks and technologies within the Microsoft technology stack in working and architecting existing and new solutions.


  • Contribute to business requirement intake process by translating business requirements into products, services, and solutions.


  • Disseminates knowledge of best practices, team culture, and support to team members to accomplish common goals.


  • Ability to learn new technology to improve the development, deliverable, and maintenance of our solutions.


  • Interface with customers and vendors as necessary during the product development cycle and provide support to field services on complex technical issues.


  • Contribute to database design, ORM tools such as Entity Framework, N-tier application development as well as general .NET development.


  • Demonstrates initiative and creative thinking to ensure the timely delivery of effective and high-quality solutions.


  • Develop with an Agile philosophy and mindset.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.


  • 3+ years of software development experience, or 1+ years with an advanced degree.


  • Engage with cross-functional team members to shape the technical direction of projects.


  • Experience in web and application development utilizing .NET Core and REST API.


  • Utilize unit testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery methodologies.


  • Knowledge of domain driven design, microservices, and containerization.


  • Understanding of relational database design and querying concepts.


  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.


  • Excellent communication skills and comprehension of the English language.


  • Work effectively in a team-oriented agile environment.


  • Master’s, PhD degree, further education or experience in engineering, computer science or related technical field.


  • Web and application UI development utilizing Angular, REACT, WPF, or similar frameworks.


  • Knowledge of medical software systems including electronic health records, radiotherapy treatment, or medical imaging.
