Job Description:
Underwrite both new and renewal Lawyers Errors & Omissions (E&O)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate errors and omissions for Law Firm risks
- Develop and manage broker relationships
- Analyze potential clients and present evaluations at daily group discussions
- Maintain and begin to develop broker relationships throughout the Midwest region
- Assist group in meeting monthly and annual production goals
- Attend appropriate training sessions and conferences when deemed appropriate
- Assist with special projects as needed under supervision of management
- Responsible for developing new business production and broker relationships
- Assist with product and system training of more junior underwriters
- Between one (1) and three (3) years insurance experience
- Professional Liability insurance experience preferred, but not required
- Bachelor’s degree (BBA preferred)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Excellent marketing, negotiating and communication skills
- Strong technical (intermediate Excel skills) and marketing expertise
- General computer and office suite skills
- Willingness to travel
