Job Description:

This position can be located in any state where Green Diamond currently has an office, which includes WA, OR, CA, MS, & GA.

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Senior Analyst/Developer partners with the business to develop information system solutions for company objectives by providing system analysis, design, programming, and database expertise. This role will also troubleshoot and provide maintenance support for existing applications, along with administrative and technical assistance to database environments, ensuring data availability and integrity in accordance with Company standards and security.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)

Works with other employees and contractor analysts/developers as a team to provide internal application support and development services for Green Diamond and subsidiary companies.
Works with the business to meet business objectives by identifying opportunities and alternative technology related solutions. Serves as a technical expert in data modeling, process modeling, and systems design.
Ensures successful development of information applications by effectively performing all the following activities in accordance with Green Diamond application development standards: business problem analysis, data modeling, system and user interface design, system prototyping, logical and physical database design, application coding and testing, system conversion and implementation.
Performs system analysis, design, and programming to maintain and enhance existing systems, including interfaces to related business systems.
Develops and maintains procedures, user-defined functions, triggers, and constraints to support application systems and data integrity.
Designs, programs, and implements interfaces with related business systems.
Utilizes Database Management Software (DBMS), providing technical expertise regarding DBMS functionality, data structure design, DBMS object implementation, data backup/recovery, and DBMS system trouble shooting.
Utilizes DBMS utilities to administer database environments used by the organization. Restores databases when needed.
Develops approaches and support products for access to data supporting the company. Adheres to user data security profiles.
Provides user support on existing systems including user training, data access, software bug fixes, and data corrections not supported by system.
Monitors applications and automated processing for process failures and data problems, resolving these problems as appropriate.
Provides clear and concise documentation of assigned systems and programs to facilitate their operation, maintenance, and use.
Creates an environment of teamwork, communication, and mutual respect throughout the business and within the IT organization.
Manages or leads projects involving personnel from the user community, the Green Diamond IT department, and external vendors.
Participates actively in Company safety program.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Geographic Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Seven to ten years of experience with applications using Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience designing and maintaining user mission-critical SQL applications with ten or more users. Demonstrated ability to independently design complex database applications and to provide guidance to other developers in designing database applications.
Knowledge of SQL Server database design. Include relational table design, primary and foreign key relationships and views. Knowledge of exchanging data across databases and across servers.
Knowledge of SQL and C# to program stored procedures, triggers and user defined functions.
Working knowledge of Visual Studio including C#, ADO.NET, SQL Server Reporting Services and Windows Forms, WPF, Entity Framework, REST services, Team Foundation Server.
Working knowledge of Python.
Knowledge of interfacing with GIS data.
Experience building disconnected, remote data collection tools.
Working knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design.
Knowledge/experience with Arc SDE, ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Server desired.
Working knowledge or experience building applications in ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, Survey123 and/or Collector desired.
Experience with DevExpress, Infragistics or similar toolkit desired.
Experience with Fulcrum or other mobile forms building platform desired.
Working understanding of WAN, LAN and Server/Storage architectures and their consideration in application design.
Working knowledge of Windows Client and Server Operating Systems and Microsoft Office.
Experience working in the timber industry preferred.
Capable of managing IT-related projects up to $250,000 and five developers over an extended period of time.
Proven communication skills with management, users and vendors.
Ability to learn/understand the business objectives and goals and design appropriate solutions.
Ability to maintain legacy applications by troubleshooting, developing understanding of coding intent and implementing solutions within the application's framework.
The ability to create, follow and implement specifications.
Proven ability to independently discern, analyze and solve problems.
Willingness to alternate between analysis, design, programming, project leadership, and systems support, as needed.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities. Ability to consistently meet deadlines, complete projects as previously defined while delivering accurate and high-quality work products.
Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and alone in the field, establish own agenda and require little supervision.
Ability to interact positively and productively (through written and verbal communications) across functions within the organization.
Ability to be adaptable, tolerant of ambiguities, and open to change.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Normal office environment with moderate noise levels, occasional lifting, regular walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing and reaching.
Occasional travel to various locations.
Ability to tour logging operations, attend training and company functions.
Ability to perform consistent work on a PC.
Must maintain punctual and regular attendance and present appropriate professional appearance at all times.
Requires the use of standard safety equipment in regulation with GDRCo.
This position may be exposed to a manufacturing setting and vibrations.
This position is a Physical and Mental Requirement Classification 1.
