Assists members with transactions at the teller line (deposits, check cashing, payments, etc.)
Assists branch personnel with a variety of tasks as needed – i.e. balancing the cash dispenser, settling the ATM, ordering supplies, capturing teller work, etc.
Verifies checks and cash and examines documents for essential elements
Enters members’ transactions into the teller system and provides receipts
Reviews member accounts in order to make appropriate decisions
Balances cash drawer daily
Promotes TowneBank as well as all related bank products
Provides assistance to members in person and on the phone
Follows the bank’s security guidelines on a daily basis
Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Summer Internship Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Must have completed at least one year of college and currently enrolled in college
Must be available to work Monday through Friday, mid-May through August
Cash handling experience
Excellent customer service and telephone skills
Able to adapt to frequent schedule changes
Punctual and dependable
Works well in a team environment
Detailed oriented and willing to help others
Desired Skills and Competencies:
Computer experience (Word and Excel)
Prior teller experience
Physical Requirements:
Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
