We are seeking a dynamic and creative healthcare leader to lead our Affordability Opportunity team. This leader will manage a team of demand oriented product owners responsible for defining, prioritizing, coordinating and signing-off on detailed features and resource planning for Affordability related experiences and initiatives. This leader along with their team of product owners are responsible for working with Global Data and Analytics, Solutions, and the Affordability Supply team to define our near / long-term roadmaps and key initiatives to achieve break-out affordability performance for specific Opportunity areas across our US medical businesses. The role is responsible for the team that will define roadmaps for key opportunity areas of Affordability such as Primary Care, Specialty Care, Virtual/Digital Care and other ancillary services. These roadmaps will define Affordability's point of view on how multiple levers (customer experience, benefits and incentives) will be deployed to achieve dramatically lower costs for our customers and clients. This leader and team will need to maintain and evolve their roadmaps based on new information while partnering with delivery teams to move specific features from the roadmap to delivery backlogs and into customers' hands. While this leader's initial bias will be Cigna's Commercial book, we will look to support the Enterprise representing US medical total cost of care affordability needs inside and outside of Cigna in the not too distant future. The individual will have exceptional communication skills, a demonstrated history of strong negotiation skills, and a passion for developing new opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Accountable business leader for identifying opportunities, defining related roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives across key navigation and influence points with customers

  • Partners with delivery teams to help bring experiences and features to life that improve Affordability

  • Coordinates demand side initiatives with supply side capabilities to create integrated opportunity roadmaps

  • Leads development of opportunity analytics backlog and partners with GD&A teams to get key business questions answered that inform value realization assumptions, roadmap development and prioritization of initiatives and tactics

  • Partners with Affordability Scoring Lead to ensure appropriate analytic plans and resources are in place to measure the impact of initiatives

  • Brings forward key opportunity analytics insights to Affordability Scoring Lead that help us evolve our macro business case assumptions

  • Partners with Solution Leader for Demand to define and coordinate needs of any cross cutting solutions or enabling functions

  • Reports to Affordability Demand Leader within the Affordability Governance & Execution team

Leadership Responsibilities:


  • Lead a team of product owners

  • Build and retain a high performing team

  • Continuously look for opportunities to add, develop and upgrade talent

  • Develop strong talent pipeline and ensure effective succession planning is in place

  • Ensure appropriate structure / governance is in place to deliver on goals

  • Build relationships with business leaders across functions and ensure functional / support teams are engaged as needed to support business strategy and execution priorities

Qualifications:


  • 7+ years of management experience with a successful track record of developing and leading teams / organizations in a similar capacity

  • Expert level knowledge of total medical cost concepts, analytics and business cases

  • Track record of translating strategy into tangible feature roadmaps

  • Experience with defining business objectives, developing conceptual solutions and partnering with delivery teams to bring specific features and experiences to life

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
