The Billing Specialist is responsible for generating several different types of invoices and billings. Works closely with Project Managers and Coordinators to ensure invoices are processed in an accurate and timely manner. This position also is responsible for providing support to the Finance Department. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, and have accurate data entry and proofreading skills (7,000 to 11,000 kph preferred).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Associate Degree in Accounting
Experience: 1 to 2 years of accounting experience
Travel: None
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Overtime may be required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Compiles necessary data to effectively produce accurate contract invoices and related paperwork.
Acts as a liaison between internal and external customers to resolve billing issues.
Assists with the processing of credit invoices.
Opens and closes jobs as needed.
Organizes and maintains billing files and daily paperwork.
Maintains a copy of monthly billing paperwork on public drive.
Uploads executed change orders into ImageNow.
Maintains retention notes in contract master.
Follows up with customers to verify invoice was received and the paperwork was complete; notates Viewpoint with applicable information.
File vendor lien waivers by job and vendor name.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
