2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor - Purina Animal Nutrition

Are you an eager, assertive, and ambitious leader with the passion to lead and develop employees and teams? If so, being a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor in our animal feed manufacturing facility may be a fit for you.

You will be able to use your leadership skills as you will be involved in attracting, retaining, developing, and inspiring/empowering your 7 employees.

2nd Shift hours are 2:30om - 11pm Monday - Friday.

This is a collaborative environment. You will be able to share best practices within the facility, across our supply chain, and with external resources to achieve leading-edge manufacturing and supply chain technologies.

SAFETY is our core focus. Safety of all employees and work environment through adherence of safety procedures.

Other focuses include:


  • Ensure compliance of GMP's and the Food Safety Plan.

  • Deliver continuous improvement in Cost, Quality, Service, People, and Environment through efficient use of materials, equipment and resources.

  • Proactively communicate and coordinate with other Manufacturing Supervisors and the Maintenance department to schedule maintenance and coordinate workflow.

  • Plan work and production schedules and assignments to meet objectives.
    Putting the internal and external customer first.

  • Understands the financial impact of Line Efficiency, Material Yield, and Labor Productivity on plant budgets and develops Action Plans to address gaps.

Required Experience and Knowledge:
High School Diploma required and 2+ years of increasing responsibility in food manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership skills, problem solving skills, and decision-making skills.

Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills at various levels of the company.

Comfort using computer systems.

Effective communication skills for working cross-functionally in a fast-paced work environment.

Preferred Experience and Knowledge:

Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related field highly desired.

3+ years of manufacturing work experience.
