Job Description:

Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) services several lines of businesses within JPMorgan Chase, including Business Banking, Commercial Bank, and Wealth Management.

The WLS Flow Products - Pre Underwriting team (Pre UW) is responsible for the pre-approval process for Business Banking and Middle Market transactions to include entity review, collection of financial information, contacting Bankers, Underwriters and/or customers to obtain information and forwarding information to internal partners. Key systems used include Apstar, Credit Navigator and WebCLASS.

Job Responsibilities

This Loan Origination Supervisor position is a non-managerial (non-Officer) exempt position, reporting directly to the local Pre UW Manager, and will be an ongoing member of the Pre UW leadership team. The candidate is primarily responsible for spearheading Training efforts and leading Project initiatives for both the Business Banking and Middle Market Pre UW Teams within WLS Flow Products.

70% - Primary Responsibilities include, not limited to:

Interaction - Interacts with all team members, local frontline Loan Origination Managers , market partners, and quality partners

Training - Serve as primary trainer of new and existing staff, including any training associated with changes in Procedures

Procedures - Serve as primary procedure editor with feedback from all impacted Pre UW Origination Managers before submitting for publishing

Coaching - Coach team members on process and procedures

Process Improvements - Recommends process improvements for efficiency gains, unit cost saves, and improved market/customer experiences, by exploring robotic opportunities and/or low-cost solutions to team challenges

Knowledge - Serves as a Subject Matter Expert on Pre UW functions and processes across both the Business Banking and Middle Market Lines of Business

UAT Testing - Creates testing scripts and executes testing across multiple applications/platforms

Research and Escalations - Handles medium to complex research and escalations (Complex issues resolution is out of scope)

30% - Secondary Responsibilities include, not limited to:

Pre UW Transactions (in Production) - Process Pre UW transactions on both Apstar and Credit Navigator. This includes application verification, missing information requests, and advanced fraud check requests for Business Banking, and new requests, annual grade reviews, and WebCLASS monitoring for Middle Market.

Customer service skills - Focuses on high volume or unique activities requiring interaction with multiple internal market/credit partners & resources
Qualifications
The potential candidate must :

• Evidence Advanced knowledge of financial reporting documents and regulations affecting lending requirements

• Be a team oriented individual with excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills

• Evidence a high productivity & quality performance metric

In addition:

• Adapt or learn multiple systems (Credit Navigator, Apstar, WebCLASS, etc.)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

• Ability to adapt to internal tracking and monitoring systems

• Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize workloads while working within tight service levels

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work in multiple team environments

• Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy with completed work.

• Ability to consistently maintain high performance levels in stressful situations and high volume environment
