Reports to the Materials Manager. Working directly with the Inventory Control Coordinators, the Inventory Associate replenishes, distributes, and assembles medical supplies according to departmental policies and procedures. Provides exceptional customer service when delivering supplies and maintains adequate supply levels for internal customers. Must be able to work weekends and holiday rotation as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of six months of experience in all facets of distribution or sterile processing is required.
Knowledge & Skills
Requires working knowledge of inventory systems, inventory control practices and stock distribution fundamentals.
Demonstrates basic computer skills necessary to utilize the Hospital's inventory system.
Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to consistently interact with families, visitors, and team members in a courteous manner and to maintain positive working relationships.
Demonstrates verbal, written communication, and problem solving skills necessary to complete forms and take messages in a legible, accurate manner.
Working Conditions
Works in a distribution area with potential exposure to physical, chemical, and biohazards.
Physical Demands
Requires physical ability and stamina (i.e., bending; twisting; kneeling; squatting; ability to lift up to 40 pounds; push carts; to remain on feet for extended periods of time) to perform the essential functions of the position.
