Job Description:

There is currently one opening for a highly motivated person with financial, analytical and communication skills. The position will offer visibility to all levels of management and provide an overall understanding of Individual Life business and distribution economics.

The finance professional will be responsible for planning, forecasting and analysis, as well, as provide analytics in support of Individual Life business. The successful candidate will interact with the Life Finance management team, as well as, with members of the Individual Life business Senior Management team. In addition, the successful candidate will interact frequently with business partners throughout ILI in Distribution, Product, Marketing, Actuarial, Pricing and other areas within Life Finance. This individual will assist, from a financial perspective, with the strategic business cases and any new business initiatives.

The responsibilities of this position will include:


  • Assist with the Individual Life sales planning, forecasting and management reporting for total Life sales across all products and channels including business drivers.

  • Partner with the Life Finance management team on sales and distribution requests in support of our QRP and QFS and other corporate wide initiatives

  • Assist in the preparation of financial analysis including Distribution Cost Allowance analysis, Edward Jones/PLD economics, Cost of Sales and Value of New Business.

  • Variance analysis of forecast and actual results for variable expenses for Third Party distribution channel within Individual Life business

  • Support continuous process enhancements, including implementing additional technology solutions to further improve efficiencies

  • Assist in developing and evaluating new value-add tools to measure distribution economics

  • Exposure to various distribution channels for marketing Prudential’s Individual Life Insurance products.

  • Gaining an understanding of competitor’s products and distribution capabilities

  • Exposure to the different types of life insurance products we offer

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or CPA a plus)

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Highly motivated and creative/strategic thinker

  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills

  • Ability to succeed both independently and as part of team

  • Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines

  • Experience with data visualization tools such Tableau is preferred

  • Willingness and a strong desire to learn

  • Strong PC Skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work overtime during peak period
