Job Description:

East Cambridge Savings Bank’s Marketing Department is actively recruiting for a Marketing & Customer Insights Officer

Function:

Under the general direction of the Director of Marketing & Strategy, responsible for the development and measurement of marketing strategies through business focused analyses in accordance with established Bank policies, procedures, and strategic goals.


We are looking for candidates with:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing Analytics or Business with a focus on economics, statistics, and quantitative analysis; or equivalent through specialized course work and training.  

• A minimum of five years’ progressively responsible experience in a role that directly supports business strategy through data analysis, modeling, and administration of marketing automation platforms.  

• Project management experience and strong presentation skills required.  

• Experience implementing and using marketing automation and data insights platforms.  

• Well-developed planning, organization and communication skills.  

• Excellent analytical skills.


Primary Responsibilities: 

1. Responsible for measuring ROI for marketing campaigns.  Analyzes metrics to identify relationships between marketing programs and financial outcomes.  Delivers campaign-level performance insights and recommendations for optimization by leveraging output from several internal and external financial databases and marketing measurement data products.  Provides timely analysis of campaign effectiveness, reports result and makes recommendations to Senior Management.

2. Responsible for gathering, organizing, aggregating, and analyzing data from disparate sources including reports, databases, customers, accounts, transactions, and channel activity. Reviews and ensures the quality of the data, identifying data issues that may impact an analysis and adjusting methodology when needed.

3. Contributes to the development of digital strategies and tactical plans to enhance the Bank’s brand image to strengthen consumer relationships.  Identifies trends, patterns, and relationships between the customer and marketing data.  Partners with Division Heads to assess trends in customer behavior and the competitive environment.  Develops and implements methodologies to drive marketing efficiency and improve the customer experience.

4. Responsible for overseeing implementation of automation platforms by identifying need, making recommendations, and managing data to meet strategic objectives.  Creates, customizes, and maintains performance dashboards along with MarCom platforms.

5. Communicates results from advanced data mining, segmentation, customer profiling and quantitative analysis to Senior Management. Develops presentations that present insight identified in data using statistics, graphs, and other tools as needed. Translates data into campaign strategies, communicating implications and key recommendations.

6. Participates in process review, performance improvement initiatives, development of data quality action plans and planning for ongoing projects.  Provides regular updates on status of goals and completes assignments in a timely manner.

7. Supports internal ad-hoc requests and business questions by analyzing a variety of data sets and communicating key insights. 

8. Maintains awareness of competitive developments and trends in the market and in Bank channel products and services; continuously evaluates bank products and services to identify opportunities to increase revenue, enhance loyalty and reduce costs.  

9. Keeps abreast of regulatory developments. Maintains knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulatory requirements.  Ensures that the department comprehends concepts and completes training requirements.  Identifies and reports compliance related issues and suspicious activity.

10. Performs special projects assigned by the Division Head.

11. Participates in civic activities to promote growth and development in the community and a positive image for the Bank.
