Employee Type:                   Part-time, Professional

Schedule:                              24 hours per week, Sunday -Thursday

FLSA:                                    Non-Exempt

Environment:                        Church campus/Community


Scope: Serve as a member of the Group Life ministry team to assure the overall vision of the church is implemented through the Connecting ministries.


  • Execute and refine the plan for guests that makes them feel expected, welcomed, wanted, and invited to join us on the journey of inviting people into the unexpected joy of desperate dependence on Jesus.

  • Execute and refine recruiting, training and scheduling strategy for Connecting Ministry leaders and volunteers.

  • Facilitate the overall connection process steps to help people fully invest at Northwest.

  • Follow up with all guests through email, phone calls, meeting people outside office hours and F1 compliance of open contacts.

  • Host and recruit volunteers to host monthly connecting events including Welcome Lunches and Pastor’s Connection Dinners.

  • Assist with and help refine the process for connecting people into small groups. 

  • Utilize Fellowship One to carry out span of care with visitors, volunteers, and members.

  • Plan and organize the biannual new member workshop, elder interviews and deacon follow up.

  • Develop and execute an annual ministry plan and budget.

  • Meet with the Group Life team and one-on-one meetings.

Requirements

As a religious organization, all employees must affirm and adhere to the Church’s Doctrinal Statement of Faith and Statement on Marriage and Human Sexuality based upon its sincerely held religious beliefs, to qualify for involvement with the ministry. This is necessary to accomplish the Church’s religious mission, goals, and purpose.


  • Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and as Lord

  • Active membership and participation at Northwest Bible Church

  • Surrendered to calling of ministry.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to persuade and encourage others.

  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
