The Human Resource Specialist will perform daily functions related to updating the HRIS system with employee changes, onboarding and off-boarding employees, support administering benefit programs and leaves of absence, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Onboarding and off-boarding employees including employee eligibility verifications.
Assist the Life Events process in the HRIS system including inquiries from employees.
Serve as backup for employment and benefits-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR staff.
Perform routine tasks required to update HRIS system for all team member changes including status, compensation and jobs.
Provide support to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to, benefits and company policies.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
At least one to three years of human resources experience required.
Bachelor’s degree (Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field) or equivalent years of experience preferred.
