We are looking for an Accounting Manager to fill an immediate opening in our Tampa, Florida office. This position will report to the CFO. This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance team.


The qualified Accounting Manager will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other related field (Required)
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Accounting/Finance (Preferred)
  • A minimum of one year of accounts payable experience (Required)
  • A minimum of two years of general ledger experience (Required)
  • A minimum of two years of payroll experience (Required)
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience (Required)
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience and Advanced Excel experience to include pivot tables (Required)
  • Experience using ABILA, HRIS/payroll software or other accounting software (Required)
  • Experience with Financial Reports (Required)
  • Experience in Fund accounting in a non-profit organization (Preferred)


The qualified candidate will be able to perform the following task:

  • Analyze general ledger accounts and financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Management and oversight of the Finance team including accounts payable, billing and payroll.
  • Assist with month-end close, financial reporting and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local government and other funder requirements.
  • Maintain department standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Establish relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
