Responsibilities

Dematic is looking for a Contract Tactical Procurement Supervisor or Team Lead to join our winning organization. This will be a 3-6+ month assignment with opportunity for long-term employment and advancement. As our Procurement Organization continues to grow and transform, Tactical Procurement activities are key to our long-term success. We are looking for driven talent that is motivated to execute our processes and uphold standards within this critical organization.

Job Family Responsibilities:


  • Supervises the flow and/or purchase of materials, equipment, goods, supplies, etc., from suppliers.

  • Communicates and coordinates with suppliers and internal customers regarding complex deviations/changes of schedules and requirement; contacts suppliers to expedite deliveries.

  • Resolves complex discrepancies between purchase, receiving, and payment documentation.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Successfully defines work flows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness.

  • Develops relevant key performance indicators and drives for continuous improvement

  • May evaluate and recommend changes in methods or procedures in own area of responsibility.

  • Identifies resource needs and may develop justification.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems.

  • May recommend/ determine organizational structures and supervisory relationships for own segment of company.

  • May be responsible for overall success of function or project.


Qualifications

Qualifications:


  • Excellent analytical and data management skills

  • Demonstrates and applies broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work group(s) and how it supports related operations.

  • Demonstrates understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance man

  • Typically 5-8 years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.

  • Typically Bachelor's Degree

  • Some travel may be required pending location.
