As a failure analysis engineer, you will,


  • Work with a group of senior electrical analysts and contribute to product analysis and debug in support of new product introduction (NPI), qualification, yield enhancement and customer quality complaints (CQC).

  • Conduct electrical fault isolation using various analytical tools such as Light Emission Microscope (LEM), Optical Beam Induced Resistance Change (OBIRCH), Laser Assisted Device Alteration (LADA), Electro-optic Probing (EOP), Laser Voltage Probing (LVP) and some other advanced electrical fault isolation equipment and techniques

  • Perform circuit analysis using layout and schematics; translate and debug test patterns on lab testers

  • Perform certain physical analysis tasks including deprocessing and inspections utilizing various equipment and techniques including Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)

  • Collaborate with various organizations (product engineering, test engineering, design engineering, validation team and quality organizations)

Minimum requirements:


  • A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, or Computer and Electrical Engineering

  • GPA of 3.4 or higher

  • Must have good knowledge of semiconductor device physics

  • Knowledge of basic digital logic and analog circuits

  • Knowledge of semiconductor process technology  - process steps & chemistry

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Some knowledge in circuit simulation, and in design for test (DFT) is an advantage
