Position Overview

Drive cement tanker to supply terminals to pick up product and return to designated plants for unloading.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Operate cement tanker deliveries to job sites.


• Assemble loading and unloading tubes.


• In the event of a cement spill, assist in clean up.


• Clean truck after loading and delivery to prevent cement from hardening on truck and trailer.


• Spray surfaces of truck with truck wash compound to clean truck and trailer in accordance with company standards.

 

Education/Experience

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.


• Must have Class A CDL and must comply with DOT requirements to include licensing, vehicle inspection and hours.
          
  Work Requirements
  


• Must be 18 years in age or older.


• Pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check required.


• Report to work dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.


• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.


• Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.

• Able to communicate with others.


• Position will occasionally require climbing of ladders and steps. 


• The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
   

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.  The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
